I so love the refined Agbada trend. Agada is a long flowing
robe with wide sleeves, decorated with embroidery mostly worn by men of the Yoruba
tribe. The Agbada in time past was only worn by men, but recently, it has become
a unisex affair; even our female folks also rock this with a lot more style. Some
women pair their Agbada/Danshiki with head gear, fedora or traditional male
caps; which is usually rocked with a low heel sandals or a court shoe.
A complete
Agbada consist of the trousers, the long sleeved shelve and open stitch
sleeveless gown. The old school Agbada is long, wide and wing-like but
nowadays, they come in shorter lengths and widths.
