African Nigerian Evening Dresses

An evening dress is a long flowing women's dress or gown usually worn to a formal affair. It ranges from tea and ballerina to full length. Evening gowns are usually made of luxurious fabrics such as chiffon, velvet, satin, organza, silk, amongst others. Evening gowns are worn at various semi-formal black tie and sometimes white tie functions,formal dinners, opera and theater premiers, formal dances, evening wedding receptions, and charity balls. Over the century, the evening gown has evolved; Today, Nigerian ankara, laces and other type of materials are intermixed with the fabrics used to sew evening gowns and can now be worn as evening dresses not only to churches but also to other formal occasions, weddings and parties.
